Here's one that Andrew Charipar did for me to pick up at CGS' Ep300. He's the "Freking Sweer" artist and creator, writer and artist of the comic series "Tales From The Cornerstone" (Check out his web-page at- www.misfitcorner.com ). Too cool! Lin

I love the Jack the ripper sketch. He could be saying "Lovely night for a walk, Darling." or "Who wants the last slice of pie?"

A little bit of everything, actually. I really like drawing with just a #2 pencil, but usually will start off with a pencil that has a bit harder lead for lighter sketching, and then come back with a softer to darken up and do the bolder outlines. I've got a couple pencils I keep in my book bag I really like. Occasionally I'll use a click-pencil(0.5mm) if I'm on a plane or just goofing off. I don't have to stop and sharpen so often. I'm going to pick up a new leadholder because I'm really having a blast doing the pencil work and really liked using the mechanical pencils back in high school.
Working on a Penguin from the 60's TV show today. I'll post it as soon as I'm done and get it scanned.

Pencil is the best medium you work with, in my opinion. Super-D-Duper.

Thanks. Pencil has always been my favorite to work in- even though I really haven't drawn much pencil stuff in years it seems. I tend to do mostly pen&ink coloring book style drawings to scan and turn to vector art at work.
I'm trying to play more with ink and markers, and getting comfortable drawing in public at shows, on planes, in airprots, or coffee shops. I tend to rely on sketching and cleaning it on my lightbox.
