How cool is THAT! It really is awsome to finally see both issues 1 and 2 together on the comic shelf. I love the variant of issue two, Janet really did a bang-up job on the cover art. Okay guys, thirty minute break and then get crackin' on issue three.

I second that, I also really like the other cover. I think I'll get that one instead of the regular, only because I have the poster with that piece already on it. I'll see you guys tomorrow at CactusCon!

Issue 2 is great guys, I sat down and read it last night. The side story was cute, kudos to Mr. Wade on that. I only wish the part on the territorial rangers was a bit longer, I want to know what happens next! Can't wait for Issue 3 guys, keep us up to date on the art book too!

ASDF and QuickDraw please let us know what you think when you are done reading it.
And there will be more of the Ranger very soon. #4 will start a new story arc and the Ranger will be in #5. We are working on a much better schedule to release the books from now on. Since I am inking and flatting colors now there won't be near as long a wait time between books.

Well Micah, an astute art critic, such as myself, will look at the project with not only an objective eye, but a stern attention to detail. Let us take a moment to discuss this "Cyclops" character, for instance. I look at him and I see sadness. Is it because the others would not let him play any of the reindeer games? Possibly. Is the behaivior of the Bushido women acceptable? No. I refuse to accept the idea that they loved their friend so much that it becomes an acceptable practice to interrupt, not only the Cyclops's meal, but his alone time with his dogs as well. A sense of adventure is no excuse for poor manners. I don't know about you, but when I make an attempt to destroy a sacred temple of Hachiman, I hate to think my good time will be interrupted with an arrow through the neck. Would a simple, "Excuse me, this is an employees-only area, please do not try to blow up our stuff.", not have sufficed? We shall never know. Not only have these actions lead me to believe that these women are criminal, but they seem to have no regard for the personal safety of others. Take, for exaple, every single MAN that has accompanied our "heroines" on their adventures thus far. All dead. No, this will not do at all. I refuse to endorse a product that is so insinsitive to the events of today. I believe that children need better role-models, and your comic is definitly not the source. Good day.

Looks like Quick Draw has a little too much time on his hands On a serious note-I need a press release for Millington Star News Paper. We also dropped off Issue 2 and a poster for Ms Norwood last Friday too.

They are on my list, but I can give one to you when I see you Thursday at the meeting if that's ok.
Glad you all are digging the book, except for Matt. If anyone else wants to chime in on the first two issues please do.

Do you guys think that issue 2 went alittle more smoothly compared to issue 1? It seems to me that once you guys got in the practice of working on it so often, you enjoyed it more. I certainly know you guys are proud of it, as you should be, but did you guys have to struggle as much with 2? P.S. of coarse I loved it. I only kid. All the time I kid.

Yes and no.
How's that for an answer..?
With #2 Micah was more involved with the art- inking and color flats which really helped. I was getting more comfortable with coloring and lettering, but don't know if it went any faster because I was trying to render more, and that freaking wall took forever to color, and it was in almost every shot.
I've learned a lot over the past year and have figured out a working method. Looking forward to getting on to #3 and seeing if we can't speed up the art while making it look better. It really helps if I color one page right after another without any time between them. They just stay more consistant that way.
I think selling it at shows will be smoother, and that it will help sales of #1. Same for when #3 comes out.
I'm proud of the fact that we've self-published a book that can go on the shelves with the big boys and not look out of place. I like the fact that if i hadn't worked on it I'd still probably pick it up because it's something I'd read.

Issue two was really good. I enjoyed it (which most comics have not been accomplishing right now...as in the big two). The comic has yet to make me angry which is awesome b/c every time I read an issue of 52, i get more and more angrier. The back stories were awesome. The Territorial ranger character is awesome.
