Our next convention appearance will be in Seattle at the Emerald City Comicon. David, Lin and myself will be there. The con is on March 31st and April 1st. (And this is not an April fool's joke.) There are a bunch of artist, writers and creators already scheduled to be there, so go to the website to find out more. www.emeraldcitycomicon.com/

Frank "Monkey Boy" Cho!
Looks like Mark Waid and Jake Black will be there. Will be good to see them both again. Mark's going to be at MSC here in Memphis the week before ECC.
Can't wait to go to Seattle!

Yep, I saw that Jake Black was going to be there. He is a friend of ours on Myspace. So I told him to look for us there.

He's a Utah boy, too. He was just interviewed on Bullpen Bulletins Episode 19 - bullpenbulletinspodcast.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=197&Itemid=2After a somewhat lengthy discussion of Civil War: The Return, we jump headfirst into our double-headed Dabel Brothers spectacular: in the first hour, we talk with Jake Black, the writer behind the Marvel/Dabel Brothers adaptation of Orson Scott Card's Wyrms and, in the second half, we travel to Portugal to touch base with Miguel Montenegro, illustrator for Orson Scott Card's Red Prophet: The Tales of Alvin Maker!

I'm putting together a binder full of marker sketches that we will be selling at shows. Lots of classic and golden age heroes. Here's a couple of small samples: Captain America and the Golden Age Batwoman I'll update a few more later. I'll also have some more contemporary heroes as well.

Well, we're all back from Seattle. I'm home in Memphis and Dave and Micah are now in Phoenix at AniZona. Here are a few pics from Emerald City Con in Seattle from last weekend. Me flying in over the event center. It's the building between the Safeco/Mariners field on the left and the Qwest/Seahawks stadium on the right. Bushi Tales new banner at table #131 in artists alley. Had some CGS listeners stop by the table. Karissa and Jason with two sketches Dave and I did. JD gets a DD sketch from DB. Fnord Serious picks up some BT promo stuffs. Dave and Scott- one of the ECCC volunteers. One of Dave's first ever Thor sketches. Me and Sean "Cheeks" Galloway. Cheeks works on TEEN TITANS GO! and the animated Hellboy movies. Me dressed up like a leprechaun and a mailbox dressed up like R2-D2. Dave, Lin(me), and Micah on Stewart Street in Pike Place Market in Seattle. Me at dinner at the Pike Place Market with my new Green Lantern ring I just bought at the comic shop downstairs. Lin(me), Micah, and Dave on top of the Space Needle in Seattle. Shot from the top of the Space Needle in downtown Seattle. It's getting late so I'll post more pics this weekend. Lin

More from artist alley- Matt and Lars were set up next to us. And next to them was some guy named Tim Sale. He draws for some TV show called "Heroes" and was doing quick free head sketches. I think this guy is going to go places. Phil Hester and Ande Parks did the cover art for the program book and were set up at the end of our section of artists alley.

This Bendis guy was pretty popular, too. Sean "Cheeks" Galloway was a busy sonof*gun, too. Nice guy. If you get a chance to say hi to him and pick up a book or sketch from him I highly reccomend it. He did a great Hellboy sketch for me! Be sure to check out the special features of the animated Hellboy movie to see more of his work and an interview with him. gotcheeks.blogspot.com/cheeks-74.deviantart.com/www.myspace.com/seangallowaySteam Crow Press were set up at the Phoenix Con and I never got a chance to sheck out there stuff, but loved the big banners they had behind them. Very cool art and very nice folks. They were set up across from Tim Sale. Hope to see them at future shows.
