Some other artists and writers on the show floor- Jake and Michelle Black. Got to meet them in Metropolis- nice couple from Utah. Jake's been busy writing TMNT prequels, Wyrms, and short stories for Smallville Magazine. They were both in Metropolis when Mark Waid and I were there in 2005. Georges Jeanty was on hand to sign the new Buffy Season 8 comics and show previews of upcomming issues. Nice guy. I forgot to go back on Sunday and pick up a Buffy print. Will have to the next time I see him at a con. Frank Cho was at the Image booth and signing comics and selling his new sketchbook- I got one of the last ones! Wasn't able to get a sketch from Monkey Boy, though... Two of my favorite writers- Mark Waid and Kurt Busiek.

Some celebs on the floor- Micah Stewart(Bushi Tales) with Feedback. Feedback and Matt Haley. I heard the comic is coming out this summer. Peter Mayhew/Chewie was M.I.A. for a bit. But was back later to take pics with fans like this young Darth Vader.

Lots of sightseeing to do over the weekend, especially on Monday. First up was the Jimi Hendrix memorial. Then we went to see where they filmed part of the movie "Singles". I hate I forgot to wear my Citizen thingy t-shirt. Then we stopped off at Volunteer Park not too far from the apartments. The Seattle Asian Art Museum was there, but not open on Monday. Still a cool place to check out on the outside. Lots of crows flying around. We then went next door to the cemetery where Bruce and Brandon Lee are buried. We didn't realize that weekend was the anniversary of Brandon's death. We took some more photos around that area and another park then hit lunch at a cool pizza place down the street. We then headed back toward the Space Needle and Sci-Fi Museum. Here's Dave and me with Gort inside the Sci-Fi Museum. "Gort! Klaatu barada nikto!"

We then headed back toward the Space Needle and Sci-Fi Museum. Here's Dave and me with Gort inside the Sci-Fi Museum. "Gort! Klaatu barada nikto!" Then it was off to the Space Needle just across from the Sci-Fi museum and Monorail station. Me on top of the Space Needle. I usually hate heights but had a blast up there. The view was amazing! I finally got some Starbucks coffee, too! You could even see the event center and stadiums where the con was held.

Some other shots from that weekend. Pike Place Market Me and Rat-Man keeping Pike Place Market safe. Found a comic shop at Pike Place while on crime patrol with Rat-Man. Spidey was working behind the counter. We had a hard time finding any coffee shops open after dark around town so we usually ended up just stopping at a 7-11 on the way back from the show and putting some on ice. Didn't drink while I was in Seattle, but kept seeing pink elephants near our hotel... and cool dragons on light poles near the stadiums. And me working after the show to get more money for comics.

Wow! Looks like another great show! Neat effect for Ghost Rider. I'd love to do ECCC next year.

Yep, that was a fun con. I am glad we took a day to be tourists too. There is a ton of stuff to see in Seattle. Be sure to look for more pics from ECCC and Anizona on the BT website gallery Friday night. Also check out the video David made set to a song from the Bushi Tales soundtrack, it's on youtube. www.youtube.com/watch?v=KixSMESZyNEBe sure to comment on the video so we know what you think and maybe I will post another one.

Man, I sooooo want to see these characters animated! I don't care if it is traditional 2-D, CGI, anime- I just want to see them move and talk.
