With the 4th of July around the corner I thought Id share some pics I took last night downtown Memphis, TN on the Mississippi River. I went down on Riverside with my friends Tim, Traci, and Rhonda. We had a "blast"- several in fact! 
The weather was nasty around 4-5pm, but cleared up and cooled off a couple hours later. It was really nice when we sat out on a patio downtown after dinner. It got a little muggy when we got down to the river, but not really all that uncomfortable. Nice breeze was blowing so that helped a lot.
They shot the fireworks off of the end of Mud Island (that's the place where the albino chased Tom Cruise to in "The Firm".) We watched from Tom Lee Park on Riverside Drive, which was closed off to traffic.
Beale Street was packed afterwards. We decided to pass on the crowds and headed up second over to Peabody Place and had a few more drinks and cooled off a bit before calling it a night.
