Hey gang- Nightmarez Haunted Attraction has returned to the Memphis area and will again benefit Youth Villages. This year the haunt has been split in two- Dr. Hacker's Asylum and a 3-D haunt. I've been working on updating the 3-D section the past few weeks. I got to go look at the asylum yesterday at the volunteer orientation. It's really looking great! We've even had some spooky things happen while working on the haunts..! If you're in the Memphis area check 'em out- Trinity Commons Shopping Center at he intersection of N. Germantown Parkway and Trinity- 700 N.Germantown Parkway October 18th, 19th, 20th then again October 25th - 31st Times: 7:30pm to Midnight For more info go to: www.hauntedweb.com/nightmarez/I'll be there opening night and a few other nights during the run. Hope to scare you there! Limb

We'll have to wait and ask their therapists!
I had to escort one mother and daughter to an exit because they begged to be let out after the first two scenes. One of the group went on alone- brave girl!
I'll post some more pics and some video this week.

It's big for sure...and still going! We've had a great run at this year's Nightmarez haunt. This weekend was crazy busy and got to see some friends and make some new ones. Friday night my friend Leslie from Rock 103 and her cousin came out to visit. Always good to see them. Luckily Leslie isn't afriad of clowns! Susan Patton- Todd Patton/Mr. Nightmarez' wife was in town to visit her grandmother in the hospital and stopped by to go thru the haunt. That's her in the center with Kenny, Patrick, Cory, and me. Fox 13's Tom Dees came out to clown around again this year. That's him (center) with Richard King and Wes Patton. That's Bro. Dees and me looking hard-core! Kenny Scott/Killjoy came down from Nashville to play this week. Kenny was one of the original clowns (along with Todd and Patrick) in our first haunt. He played Killjoy and Crazy Ray inside the haunt and out front- sometimes both in the same night! Now that's hard-core!

Saturday night I got to meet one of my favorite magicians and TV heroes from my childhood last night- "Mr. Magic" D ick Williams! That's Patrick and me with Mr. Magic. I had just finished doing make-up on our actors when Patrick, my friend who runs Nightmarez now, came and asked me if I wanted to meet Mr. Magic. I said, "D ick Williams is here?!" He came by to watch two of his friends (Margarette and Tim) do escape tricks as part of the World Wide Escape Artists Relay for the crowds in line waiting to get into Nightmarez. I got to talk to Mr. Magic before they performed and loved hearing about how he got into radio, TV, and magic. I watched Magicland here growing up in Memphis. It was the longest running TV magic show- over 23 years! Mr. Williams' "Magicland" and Bill Bixby's "The Magician" shows introduced me to magic as a kid, and I've loved watching magicians perform ever since. It was a real kick to get to talk to someone like him and have him be so nice, approachable, and personable. I was sad to hear that his wife had passed earlier this year, and that he had fallen and broken his leg a while back, but he was all smiles when he talked about her and learning tricks from his dad. He said his dad was a bit reluctant to teach him at first because he was afraid to overwhelm him and/or and take the "magic" out of it. He said he finally agreed to teach him later. Found out last night the haunt will officially be open after Halloween for a few nights of flashlight tours. Should be a blast! Might have to break out the Beetlejuice costume for that. Well, time to go scare some more folks. Beast wishes, Limb

Found out from Patrick that this year's haunt raised $35k for Youth Villages! That's a new record for us. The highest Nightmarez has been able to donate was around $25k a few years back. It's normally been betweeh $13-20k each year.
