"Spartans! Lay down your arms!" Cried a Persian captain, eager to instill morality in his sorrounding troops, which number more than one million strong. Leveling his spear and gripping his considerable shield, the Spartan King Leonidas shouted back defiantly, "Come and get them!" the mere three hundred spartans that surround him grin their approval.
The fight scenes were vicious and graceful, and it makes me want to run around in a red toga, shouting challenges at large groups of dangerous people. My common sense and attraction towards self-preserverance has delayed such actions. What did you guys think of this cenematic adventure?

I saw 300 too and it made me feel like a man...er, uh I mean WOman too. It looks just like the graphic novel and has much more bite. They added to the story just a little bit but it did not take me out of the movie, it just made sense. It was absolutely awesome. And the soundtrack rocks!! I am gonna own it. Notic you need to go to the blood bank and sell a few pints or quarts (movies aren't cheap anymore) and go see this movie. You will find that it will be worth it...every drop. ;D Oh and if they are still talking about a Wonder Woman movie, the actress who played the queen should be Diana Prince.

Persian Messenger: Our arrows will block out the sun! Spartan: Then we will fight in the shade! This is my most favorite period in History. I have not seen the movie yet, although I have read Gates of Fire by Steven Pressfield. What is really cool about 300 is that the above line is reported to have been actual dialog between the Persian messenger and a Spartan. Now how *$%@ing cool is that?!!! It would be really cool to have lived in that period. Although my luck is such that I would have one of the babies pitched over the cliff!

Well, if there's one thing I learned from Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer, it that babies bounce. Or is that BUMBLES bounce? Hmm, only one way to find out...

Well Hello there Bullwinkle, long time no hear. However you always have something cool to say.
Who would have thought that they actually used dialog from that time period. That is really FRACKIN' cool. Thanks for that tidbit of info.
And I could have probably been able to live in that time period too as long as there was indoor plumbing. ;D

As much as I like Bale as Batman/Bruce Wayne, after seeing 300 I thought Butler would be a great in those parts, too. Really enjoyed 300. I've got to find my omics on it so I can go back and re-read them.

"The beasts were clumsey... and the piles Persian dead were slippery." I giggled at that part. Does that make me a bad person?

300 was truly one the best films I have seen so far this year. It was probably one of the gruesome and most violent I have seen, but I loved it, however the Oracle scene was a bit odd.
