This trailer was a bit horrifying to me. It's nothing like the show and total cheeseball. For some reason I was expecting something a little more serious. I'm sure I'll enjoy it, but it's just not speed racer to me.

I was excited at the beginning, especially when you see him putting on the boots and jaket- I was like, "Yes, he's going to look like him. " Then it kept showing him be angsty in every shot. I'm not a huge Speed Racer fan- I don't hate it, just haven't watched a lot of it, so there's probably a lot that I probably won't notice as off or wrong. I'm glad they went with a real chimp and I'm hoping they will make the CGI scenes look a bit more realistic.
The Mach 5 looks sweet, and I've seen that Hot Wheels is coming out with some. Hopefully they will be easier to find than the recent Batmobiles.
