Steve/Cake called me this morning to see how we all were and I replied-
"We've got cows!"
It was cold last week- 30-40's, then got up to the 70's the past couple days, then back down to 40's today.
Here's how yesterday went for me.
Clouds moving in...
Heard the tornado sirens (and a train!) so I ran back inside!
As we started to close the "blast doors" in back at work the bottom fell out and hail came with it!
The sirens stopped so I snapped this shot out the front door, locked the door, and then ran back to my office to color pages and watch the news reports.
It got calm again and I could hear thunder and see flashes of light from the side of the building. I went to the front door and got a shot of this- and then ran back to my office!
The rain and wind got so fierce I could barely see across the street. When it calmed down some I took this shot out of Kevin's office window and then ran back to my office!
I've got a huge 60+ foot tree in my front yard so I figured it was better to stay at work and keep an eye on the news. No limbs or powerlines were down when I got home. Luckily I live and work in the middle of Memphis and not the outlying areas- they got nailed! When we had "Hurricane Elvis" blow some straight line winds thru the city a few years ago the end of my street, and a good bit of Memphis looked like a war zone.
The Memphis Mafia are all fine. Saw Kevin and Antone at the comic shop earlier today. Talked to Ronnie on the phone yesterday after the first wave hit. They live about a mile or two where a couple warehouses in Southaven were hit. Ronnie said they lost power, but didn't have any damage.
