Some of you probably know I design monuments for my day job. Since it's Memorial Day I thought I would post a few shots of one monument I got to work on recently that is in Veteran's Plaza in Overton Park here in Memphis, TN. My bosses Paul and Missy West designed it, and I did the typesetting, Photoshop work, and layouts for it. Kevin and I also stopped by Overton Park one afternoon and helped Paul and his son Zac set part of the monument. Here are a few shots. "Put captain Solo in the cargo hold." Kevin, Paul, and Zac moving one of the limestone uprights into position. Finished monument. Some veterans checking out the Korean map on the monument. One of the ladies at the unveiling dressed in Korean attire. Close-up of one of the bronze plaques. Another bronze plaque. Another person at the unveiling checking out the monument.

that looks great. I'd love to visit that some time if I'm ever in the area.
