Not sure if I hinted to you that I'd have some upcoming Marvel news for Dave or not but here it is...Dave got his contract from Marvel on Christmas Eve. Scott Clark and Dave Beaty are currently working on a project together for Marvel- the upcoming X-Men: Sword of the Braddocks. X-MEN: SWORD OF THE BRADDOCKS #1 COVER BY: ALEX GARNER WRITER: CHRIS CLAREMONT PENCILS: SCOTT CLARK COLORED BY: WIL QUINTANA LETTERED BY: TOM ORZECHOWSKI THE STORY: Before she can come home to the X-Men, Betsy Braddock has one final mission—settle the score once and for all with the man who’s been hunting her across the multiverse. If she hopes to survive, Psylocke’s going to have to use every weapon at her disposal----and possibly cross a line no X-Man ever has before… One-Shot/Rated T+ PRICE: 3.99 IN STORES: March 4, 2009 www.marvel.com/catalog/?id=11256www.tfaw.com/Comics/Profile/X-Men-Sword-Of-Braddocks___339391en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PsylockeDon't know why the colorist is listed as Wil Quintana unless they solicited before Dave and Scott were officially doing colors and inks, but officially Scott's penciling and Dave and Scott are doing the colors (unofficially I think they both are doing inks, too) It's more of a digitally painted story, kind of like what we did with Stargods. Scott will be joining the BT crew at the upcoming Phoenix Cactuscon- Jan. 22-25, 2009. phoenixcomicon.com/

This from Dave- X-Men Sword of the Braddocks is being previewed on Marvel.com and will be in stores this coming Wednesday. As many of you know this is my first "official" work for Marvel. I've been working on the fringes of the comic book industry for 22 years and finally this dream has come true. Here's a link so you can check out the pages: www.marvel.com/news/comicstories.7291 Thank you for everything you did to help me on my journey. The friendships and advice have meant everything to me over all these years.

Dave's first official Marvel book is now out. It hit comic shelves yesterday. Doing an X-Men book with Chris Claremont and Scott Clark as your first Marvel work...not too shabby! Jason and Kevin checked out the issue at Comics and Collectibles. Got my copies, too. Congrats, Dave! You can hear a review of this book on The Comic Book Page Podcast- www.comicbookpage.com/Lin
